- The Utility Model Option in Estimates
The Utility Model Option in Estimates
The Filing estimate now has a Utility Model option, similarly to the way this works in projects. Navigate to the Jurisdictions page of the estimate workflow to find the new selections.
In the PCT National estimate, you can now choose jurisdictions in either or both of the following tabs:
- PCT National Phase
- PCT Utility Model
In the Direct Filing estimate, you can make selections in either or both of the following tabs:
- Patent Application
- Utility Model
By default, you will see the PCT National Phase or Patent Application tab, as these are the most common request types. To create an estimate for a utility model, navigate to the Utility Model tab of either workflow.
In the PCT National estimate, the jurisdiction lists are mutually exclusive. When selected in one menu, the jurisdiction is no longer available in the other.
In the Direct Filing estimate, the same selections can be made in both tabs if needed.
If jurisdictions were selected in both tabs, this is reflected in the Estimates Costs breakdown.
Lastly, the Utility Model selection process in the project workflows has been redesigned for a better user experience. The actual functionality remains the same and is consistent with estimates.
