EP Grant Estimate

You can now generate estimates for EP Grant filing type, also known as Response to Communication under Rule 71(3). This option is available under both Filing and Translation estimate types.

In the first step of the workflow, enter the application or publication number. Hover over the information icon next to the field to view the acceptable formats. Once a valid number has been entered, most of the information is automatically populated from online sources. Add your preferred reference number and modify other fields if needed.

You can order EP Grant as a stand-alone service or optionally include Validation. To do this, tick the Add Validation Jurisdictions checkbox in step 1.

If the Validation option is selected, you will proceed to the Jurisdictions page. If the estimate includes EP Grant only, you will proceed straight to the Estimated Costs page, skipping the jurisdiction selection.

The Jurisdictions page allows you to select one of your common lists, created in User Settings, or make individual jurisdiction selections.

The final page of the estimate shows the breakdown of the costs, including the costs for the 71(3) phase, as well as for selected 97(1) jurisdictions, if any.

As with other estimate types, the EP Grant estimate can be converted into project of the same type.
