Cost Estimate for Non-patent Translation Requests

To provide you with cost estimates for non-patent translation requests, the Other option has been added to Translation estimates.

Under the New Estimate menu, select Translation Only, followed by the Other option.

If you have a Word document, upload it and the system will automatically generate the word and page count. If no such document is available, please approximate this information. You will be able to request estimate assistance later in the workflow if you’d like for our team to review these figures and provide you with a more precise quote.

The Translation Quality field lets you select the quality levels available in your agreement. Our highest level is Publication or Filing, commonly used for patents or other documents intended for publication. Another common quality level is Reference or Reading, appropriate for documents intended for internal use and offered at a discounted rate.

Please contact your Questel representative if you don’t see a quality level you need.

If you only have a PDF document, please use the Request Estimate Assistance option on the Estimated Costs page. Upload it here and add any instructions you may have for the team.

If no estimate assistance is needed, simply save your estimate or convert it into a project. Converting it will take you to the Translation “Other” project workflow, where you’ll be able to verify all information one more time and submit the request to Questel.

If you save the estimate, you can download it as a PDF or Excel file for 90 days, and convert it into a project within that time.
