Portfolio access management

A much-requested feature, portfolio user access management, is now available! You can segment access and define rights and permissions for different types of assets and portfolio portions to different internal and external users.

Within your organization:

• Give your inventors access to their inventions only.
• Limit the access of your marketing team to the trademark portfolio.
• Give business unit managers access to their own portfolio.

But also, outside the organization:

• Give your agents access to the assets they manage
• Give your annuity providers access to the assets they manage

Limited access VS Completed access

From now on, when you add a user, two choices are possible:

1.Access to the entire portfolio:

This is not different to the past behaviour of Asset.

2.Access only assets where the user is listed as a contact:

The user who then logs in with limited access can only see the assets on which he is assigned as contact, which includes portions of the portfolio as well as portions of data on the renewal, committee and budget tabs.
